Norm and Diana (Doug's brother and wife) arrived the day before the Lost Dutchman Day's parade so we treated them to the parade the next morning. It was a lovely sunny day to be sitting out watching the parade. It was Saturday February 25th.
This parade is a real cowboy country parade and lots of fun to watch. Here is an old police car
Always lots of beautiful old cars
There are plenty of pretty young women who are the rodeo queens/princesses for their small towns. Their horses are beautifully decorated as are the girls!
Beautiful Clydesdale horses
These miniature horses more the size I am comfortable with!
Now these are ladies!
You can't have a parade without the young ladies of dance! They were so cute
More rodeo queens and princesses
Got to have the vintage was vehicles
Loved this old carriage - it has been restored to original condition
Loved this little girl, she looked about 6 yrs old and she was handling her horse so well and it was mucho bigger than her!!
Love those Shriners! - you can't have a parade without them
You can't have a parade without the tractors either!
There are times I would love to hire these guys!
That evening it was warm enough to eat outside on the patio but it is still winter, it gets dark early so we ate a candle lit dinner with Norm & Diana
