Phoenix Zoo - Zoolights

Our neighbour Rena has a membership at the Phoenix Zoo so was very generous and enabled us to buy our tickets through her (at a reduced rate) to go to the Zoo in the evening for the Zoolights. Part of the Zoo is completely lit up with Christmas lights with an animal theme. it was a cool evening but we had a wonderful time walking through the paths all lit up with animal lights. A very worthwhile pass time. Enjoy our pictures!

Laila, Cole, (Hannah and Luke with their backs to us!) & Sharon at the Zoo entrance looking across the lake towards the Zoolights sign

Peacock Lights

Hannah loves frogs so this was a favorite

Christopher and Cole discussing the lights

 Antelope, hippos and lighted trees

 Apes and a dragon!

Christopher, Laila and Cole with Hannah and Luke in a double stroller, riding in style.

This was a tree with moving monkeys (lights) the swayed amongst the branches - cool!

 Giraffes
I have included a few videos I took that better portray our experience. Well worth the visit and something Doug and I may well do other years even though we won't have grand children visiting!

The lights were so brilliant and every where you looked

Lovely green grasshopper!

You'll have seen the video with the dancing lights to the music. This ball seemed to hover over the lake right in the centre. It was quite mesmerizing

 The kids loved the spider

Note the monkey swinging between the trees.

This was the hippo, elephant & crocodiles. Everyone slept well this night after a couple of hours of walking around the zoo in the cool, clear desert night!
