Brad & Kathleen above the dock for the Dolly Steam boat
This was our second time on the cruise this year, the first time with Doug's brother and wife and then now. They always tell you to watch for the mountain sheep and for the first time we saw them! We actually saw many. It was quite exciting. It was like they were posing for us! See the sheep at the top of the hill?
This sheep was just nonchalantly standing on the side of the mountain.
Another sheep on the top of the ridge. Of course it wouldn't look at me as I tried to take a picture!
As the boat went by this rock there was an eagle's next right on the top. You can just see the eagle's white head peeking over
This sheep was just lying there posing for us
More sheep - I warned you we saw lots of them!
On our way back to the dock we went by the eagle's nest again and this time the babies were peaking over the side. You can see a little grey baby and there was another in behind.
This is a miniature agave plant flowering. If it wasn't such a public spot (canyon overlook) I might have just encouraged it to come home with me and live in my garden!
Such vibrant colours
As though we didn't see enough sheep when we were on the boat, we then saw two more along the highway as we were returning to Apache Junction
They must be used to us humans as they just stood there and posed for us
Another fun day although very warm - another mad dash for the pool as soon as we got home!
